Generation After. Showcase, organized by Nowy Teatr since 2017, presents the latest offerings of the Polish theatre and choreography scene to the representatives of the major global festivals and theatre institutions. This year’s 8th edition will take place on 5-7 September 2024.

The programme of the 8th edition of the Generation After. Showcase will feature the play Performers Anonymous based on the choreographic concept of Ramona Nagabczyńska in which during a meeting of an anonymous group therapy, performers will tell their intimate stories and share their confessions about how far they are prepared to go in order to be noticed and watched.

The programme will also include: “Threesome/Trzy” with choreography and performance by Wojciech Grudziński, “Talking car” directed by Agnieszka Polska, “The Sculptresses” by Weronika Pelczyńska and Magda Fejdasz produced by the National Museum in Warsaw, “Ich heisse Frau Troffea” by Sergey Shabohin and Igor Shugaleev produced by Nowy Teatr, executed by “Zamek” Culture Center in Poznań, „Signing/Singing” by Daniel Kotowski, Sarah Kane’s „Bombarded” dir. by Ewa Platt from the Threatre Academy in Warsaw, “Lesbian Sunset” by Teraz Poliż, and  “Too Much of Everything” dir. by Michał Buszewicz – the premiere closing the past theatre season at TR Warszawa. Komuna Warszawa will present three of its performances: “Rapeflower” by Hana Umeda, “Glory game” by Dominik Więcek and the latest play by Mirosław Bałka and Katarzyna Krakowiak-Bałka “Heidegeer?Denaturat”.

The programme of side events will feature the following plays: “Wasp Hunting. A Matter of Death and Life” dir. by Natalia Korczakowska, based on the book by Wojciech Tochman from STUDIO, Jakub Skrzywanek’s “Man of paper. Anti-opera on credit” from the Zygmunt Hübner Teatr Powszechny, Katarzyna Minkowska’s “When the Snow Melts” from TR Warszawa and Wojtek Rodak’s “The High Jump” from Teatr Dramatyczny in Warsaw.
