The departure point for the workshop is the project @textile_reincarnation. During two afternoons on December 14th and 15th, 2021, we will gather around a big pile of second-hand clothing and create new pieces from this material. Pieces that are wearable, sculptural, utopian, dystopian, street wear, nature wear and much more. Various techniques will be introduced to efficiently reincarnate textiles.
This workshop is aimed at creators from various fields with an interest in fashion and the body. Sewing skills are not mandatory.
One week prior to the workshop all the participants will meet online on Zoom, to get to know each other and exchange our practices, and so we can all prepare for the time we will share together.
In the first place this workshop is intended to be a platform for a common experience together, to encourage inspiration, exchange of ideas and good energy.
What to bring:
– Second-hand clothes
– Sewing materials, machines etc.
The workshop will be held in English and the results will be documented with a still photography camera.
Limited number of places: 20 people
Last day of registration for the workshop December 3rd: firstname.lastname@example.org
