Aria di potenza

An open-air opera happening directed by Krystian Lady and combined with a presentation of Gosia Baczyńska's fashion collection on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of her artistic work. On the stage next to the first lady of the Polish opera Małgorzata Walewska, the American baritone singer Lucia Lucas and the French male soprano Théo Imart will perform for the first time in Poland.

Swimmer and activist, winner of 173 medals – including at World and European Championships, one of the leaders of the protest of people with disabilities who made the first coming out in Polish sports. This time, she will perform as the first sit-up in the world. Sit-up is a taunt to make us think. A brand-new, comedy-drama solo stage formula.

“Heart of Glass. A Zen Musical” inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen” and Maria Peszek’s “Naku*wiam zen” is a musical production in which Andersen’s fairytale-like reality collides with with the nitty-gritty of real biographies of two accomplished artists, father and daughter – Jan Peszek and Maria Peszek. The play is co-produced by STUDIO and Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Krakow. Warsaw premiere: 19 April 2024,

Mahagonny. Ein Songspiel / Afterparty

Play MAHAGONNY. AFTERPARTY consists of two parts: MAHAGONNY – EIN SONGSPIEL (30 min, 6 songs) by Weill and Brecht, and AFTERPARTY by a Polish composer based in the Netherlands, Kasia Głowicka – a piece with lyrics by Bartosz FISZ Waglewski. The entire production maintains the form of a songspiel in which the story is told through songs and musical interludes.

Ode to Joy

Wojtek Ziemilski won renown thanks to the lecture-performance titled “Small Narration” telling the story of his grandfather, Wojciech Dzieduszycki, and the controversy surrounding the disclosure of his cooperation with the Security Service (i.e. Secret Police) by the Institute of National Remembrance. “Ode to Joy” is the third play by Ziemilski in Studio Theatre. This acclaimed director, author and creator of performative installations in which conceptual thinking, reflection on language, community and stage fiction play a critical role, in his latest play returns to the subject of legacy and heritage.

During a meeting of an anonymous group therapy, performers invited by Nagabczyńska will tell their intimate stories and confide how far they are prepared to go in order to be noticed and watched. Genuinely autobiographical confessions and fictional self-creations will be subject to the process of incessant choreography.

Sonic Portals: A subwoofer odyssey

In "Sonic Portals", its creator - Ciro Goudsmit - combines his research on low-frequency oscillators, with (afro) futuristic thinking: a possibility to curve “reality” and create alternative ones, where colonialization didn’t happen.
